A typical show consists of a 20-30 minute solo dance to traditional Middle Eastern music, usually consisting of an upbeat intro piece, a slow veil or sword dance (per request), and an exciting drum solo. The solo set is followed by audience participation to a fun mix of upbeat Middle Eastern music.  Mychelle will get your guests dancing, focusing on the guest of honor..  She will teach the women and kids – and the brave guys – how to shimmy and more! Perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, and family celebrations. 

A combination show and mini bellydance lesson is a great way to break the ice and get your guests relaxed in no time!  Options include a full show followed by a mini group lesson or a full lesson followed by a mini-showcase. This is a great option for baby showers, bachelorette parties, or if your gym/facility is looking for a preview of bellydance classes.

Mychelle is a Wedding Specialist, with experience performing at hundreds of weddings throughout California. She has great relationships with many wedding venues throughout the region. Wedding performances can vary in style and duration, from a Classic Show to several mini-shows to a full Zeffa (wedding march) led by your dancer. Mychelle will work closely with you and/or your wedding planner to ensure you have a perfect performance for your special day. Shows will be tailored to suit the theme and colors of your wedding, and can include duet/trio/and group performances, as well as live musicians.

Mychelle and her colleagues from The Sacramento Network of Professional Belly Dancers perform weekly at the city’s finest Middle Eastern restaurants.  Mychelle provides a special rate for regular restaurant performances in exchange for extra compensation from promotion, tips, and meals. Mychelle regularly performs at music festivals and corporate events throughout California. She regularly performs for The San Francisco Giants, High Sierra Music Festival, Sacramento Earth Day Festival, UC Davis Picnic Day Celebration, The Turkish American Association Annual Event, VSP, and many more. Mychelle Crown has produced hundreds of Bellydance and Variety Show showcases over her years as a pillar of the Sacramento arts community. She has been Entertainment Coordinator for Sacramento Earth Day Festival, Fairy Tale Town, and Marrakech Restaurant. She works closely with the Sacramento Network of Professional Belly Dancers to provide big-stage, professional performances for large venues.
