Kanz Altaaj - Treasure of the Crown - Dance Company performs at many festivals and events throughout Sacramento, CA, such as college multicultural festivals, Sacramento Pride, Capital City Raqs Festival, and so much more. The Crown Jewels and Kanz Altaaj regularly work together to create large and stunning stage shows!

The Crown Jewels Competition and Professional Troupe

The Crown Jewels Bellydance Company is a multi-award winning dance troupe under the direction of Mychelle Crown. Based out of Thrive Movement Arts in Sacramento, CA, the 2023 Troupe of the Year winners perform at events, competitions, and festivals throughout California and North America. The Crown Jewels is a Raqs Sharqi based company, but also work under the direction of Master Instructors to perform culturally-respectful folk dances from the Arabic speaking world. The Crown Jewels is available for festivals, events, charity galas, weddings, civic events, and much more. Kanz Altaaj Student Troupe

Kanz Altaaj (Kanz Al-Taj-ee) means Treasure of the Crown, and they are definitely Mychelle Crown's treasure! Thrive Movement Arts student troupe is comprised of dancers from all backgrounds in life and dance, and is a fun, low pressure group where we learn choreographies to perform at local cultural and charity events. Kanz Altaaj is open to anyone who wants to learn Bellydance choreography, and performance opportunities are offered but not required. Visit our booking page to register.
